Health & Care Cornwall: Group Purpose and Conversation Focus

Health & Care Cornwall brings together businesses, community partners, and individuals working across the health, care, and wellbeing sectors to strengthen Cornwall’s health economy. As part of the Cornwall Can Be initiative, this group’s mission is to grow an innovative, resilient health and care sector that supports thriving communities, inclusive growth, and long-term wellbeing.

This group will:

  • Champion the voices of health and care businesses and highlight their unique contributions to Cornwall’s economy, workforce, and social fabric.
  • Unite sector voices to advocate for their challenges, ambitions, and opportunities, providing insight into what’s needed to help businesses thrive and improve care across Cornwall.
  • Address shared challenges such as workforce shortages, funding pressures, digital transformation, and the sustainability of care provision.
  • Explore innovation and opportunity, including biosciences, e-health, occupational health, social care entrepreneurship, and new models of integrated wellbeing.
  • Connect with wider strategy by supporting Cornwall’s goals for inclusive growth, healthy communities, climate resilience, and a future-ready workforce.

Conversations will focus on building practical collaboration, shaping policy ideas, and amplifying the contribution of health and care businesses to Cornwall’s future.

*Please note – this is a Cornwall Chamber Members only event for members on Connector, Advocate or Visionary tiers. Preference will be given to those operating in health, care, wellbeing, and life sciences due to limited spaces.

The two questions that we will aim to cover will be:

  • What one thing would most help create good jobs and sustainable growth of health enterprises in Cornwall’s economy?
  • What is the single most pressing challenge or opportunity your organisation faces in contributing to a resilient and innovative health and care sector in Cornwall?
