This August, Miracle Theatre is running a Summer Youth Programme, a series of inspiring, practical workshops designed to build confidence, creativity and new friendships for young people.
Running throughout August at The Poly in Falmouth, the programme offers a range of exciting sessions for young people aged 8 to 19, led by professional theatre-makers. The sessions delve into Miracle’s signature approach to storytelling, comedy and devising and will be jam packed with inclusive games and theatre exercises in a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can get involved. No previous theatre experience is needed … just enthusiasm and imagination.
The Summer Youth Programme is part of Small Miracles, Miracle Theatre’s growing youth initiative, which aims to nurture the next generation of theatre-makers by creating opportunities for young people to explore performance, storytelling, design, technical theatre and creative collaboration. Sally Crooks, Co-Artistic Director at Miracle, said:
“Theatre gives young people the opportunity to express themselves, build confidence and discover skills they may never have realised they had. Our Summer Youth Programme is all about creating a fun, supportive space where every young person feels welcome to explore their creativity and enjoy making theatre together.”
The programme is suitable for complete beginners as well as those already interested in drama and performance, with sessions tailored to different age groups to ensure everyone gets the most from the experience.
Parents and carers are encouraged to book early, as places are limited.
