Support someone epic, doing something beyond epic

Want to support someone epic, who’s doing something beyond epic, and in order to raise funds for The 2 Minute Foundation… meet Milli Abrams aka Just One More Row.

Fife knitting and yarn entrepreneur, Milli Abrams, is set to row solo and unsupported 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a bid to raise money for charity, as part of The World’s Toughest Row, an extreme endurance race from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to English Harbour in Antigua.

The race begins this December and we are looking to give her the moral support to help her succeed in this incredible feat of physical and mental strength, as well as to raise funds for our charity.

It’s an incredible tale. This soon to be 50-year old is the only solo female entering from the UK and will celebrate this milestone birthday on 31st January alone mid-Atlantic. At just 5 feet, Milli is the shortest – and also the lightest – person ever to have rowed across an ocean.

Milli has said:  “I’ll turn 50 somewhere in that big old ocean. I will be the 4th woman EVER to have rowed an ocean in her 50’s. I yearn for some time to just stop, reflect, appreciate. I am a fast-paced, thrill-seeking, sleep-is-for-the-dead kind of soul, who usually rests only when I’ve burnt myself out. And I want to celebrate my recovery from long Covid. I’m ready to shatter my mental and physical limits and take on this wild challenge head-on! It’s time to break the rules and defy expectations and I’d hugely welcome your support in this adventure!”

Help us spur on this incredible individual, knowing that every follow, every like, every comment, every donation towards her chosen charities will keep her on track to achieve something few of us can conceive, let alone the bravery to attempt. She has said to us that it is raising awareness and support for her two chosen causes that will give her strength for what she knows will be a hugely challenging endurance event.

In Milli’s words, “The 2 Minute Foundation is dedicated to environmental action, encouraging people to take two minutes out of their day to make a positive impact, such as picking up litter, fostering sustainability, and creating a cleaner planet. I love how the foundation enables people to really incorporate positive environmental, and community-enhancing action in a really easy, and accessible way. And I especially love the impact this has on kids.”
