Cornwall-based telephone answering service Phoneta has been recognised as one of Cornwall’s Best Places to Work for the third year running.
The family-run business, which supports companies across the UK from its Cornwall headquarters, received the recognition as part of the Best Places to Work awards organised by Business Cornwall in partnership with Best Companies Group.
The awards celebrate organisations that demonstrate outstanding workplace culture, employee engagement and commitment to staff wellbeing. For Phoneta, the achievement reflects more than three decades of steady growth, evolving from a small family business founded in a spare bedroom into a nationally trusted service employing more than 50 people in Cornwall.
Managing Director Anthony Caddy said: “As a family-run business rooted in Cornwall, we’ve always believed that people come first. Achieving this recognition for a third consecutive year is something we’re incredibly proud of because it reflects the culture our team has helped build every single day. “Creating quality employment opportunities within Cornwall is really important to us, and we’re passionate about showing that ambitious, nationally successful businesses can thrive here while still maintaining strong values and a supportive working environment.”
Phoneta supports over 1,000 businesses nationwide and handles an average of more than 4,000 calls each day on behalf of clients ranging from SMEs to national organisations. Alongside its growth, the business has remained actively involved within Cornwall’s wider business community through local networking, collaboration and support initiatives.
Karis Matik, Brand and Marketing Director at Phoneta, added: “Cornwall has an incredibly supportive and collaborative business community, and being part of organisations like Cornwall Chamber helps create opportunities for local businesses to learn from one another and grow together. “We’re proud to be building a business in Cornwall that not only supports companies across the UK, but also creates a positive workplace culture for local people here at home.”
The company will be formally recognised alongside other winners in Business Cornwall’s upcoming Best Places to Work feature.
