Miracle Theatre has secured a grant from the Cornwall Community Foundation to kick-start a new theatre company open to anyone aged 13 to 19.
Launching in January 2026, Miracle Young Company will provide teenagers with the opportunity to take part in high-quality theatre-making in a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Designed to be open to everyone, the programme will offer young people the chance to explore performance, theatre technical skills such as lighting design, and collaboration regardless of experience or background.
The funding from the Cornwall Community Foundation will support the development of the weekly sessions and performance opportunities, enabling Miracle Theatre to nurture young talent and create a safe, inspiring space where young people can express themselves and build confidence through theatre.
Speaking about the award, Bill Scott, founder and co-Artistic Director from Miracle Theatre said:
“We are incredibly grateful to the Cornwall Community Foundation for their support. This grant allows us to launch Miracle Young Company, where young people feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged to be creative. We’re excited to open our doors to the next generation of Cornwall’s theatre-makers in January 2026.”
