Cornwall’s Miracle Theatre is proud to thank the six generous businesses who have supported the summer 2025 tour of Twelfth Night. The tour, which was seen by over 11,000 people across the South West, visited 28 venues during two and a half months on the road.
As one of the UK’s longest established rural touring companies, Miracle Theatre plays a significant part in upholding Cornwall’s long-standing tradition of outdoor theatre, helping generate a positive profile for, and celebrating, Cornwall’s identity. The sponsor support, included set materials, workshops for young people, transport and driving commercial income, which helped Miracle reach communities from St Just up to Dorset.
Dash Drive, Isles of Scilly Steamship Company, and Penzance Helicopters supported the tour with vital logistical support, helping Miracle reach rural communities across the region. The Cornish Bank assisted with set materials, whilst West Cornwall independent estate agency Andrew Exelby invested their sponsorship money to provide professional drama workshops in local schools.
“Traditional advertising tells people about your business. This partnership shows our values in action. When local children get opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have, that’s the kind of community impact we want to be known for”- Andrew Exelby
As well as the workshops, participants were offered tickets to the show giving an instant, local and tangible impact.
“Our mission is making theatre accessible to more people in their local communities. Our partnership with Andrew supports that perfectly – bringing professional theatre workshops directly to schools meant 60 children could participate regardless of barriers.” Bill Scott, Miracle Theatre
Sharp’s Brewery has been supporting Miracle Theatre for several years, their private sector backing helped Miracle trial a pop-up bar at several locations.
For Miracle Theatre, who receive regular funding from Arts Council England and Cornwall Council, this is their 46th year of making theatre here in Cornwall. The growth of successful private sector partnerships together with an increase in volunteer support via the Company’s Miracle Worker scheme, demonstrates that the Company’s reputation has never been stronger.
“We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors, Miracle Workers and funders who helped make this tour such a success. Their support has helped us reach new communities and helped us celebrate live performance, place and community.” Bill Scott, Miracle Theatre
