• What advice would you give to other young people aspiring to make a significant impact in their field or start their own business?

Honestly, my biggest piece of advice is to stay in your lane. It’s so easy to look around and see what everyone else is doing, but the moment you start copying their path, you lose what makes you you. Be inspired, sure, but don’t compare, your authenticity is your biggest strength.

With the right support and tools, you really can do anything. Trust your gut, back yourself, and remember that just having the drive to start something of your own means you’re already halfway there. And be kind to yourself, it’s not a race. It takes time to build both your business and your reputation, and that’s okay. The best part is the trial and error, the experimenting, and seeing what you and your business can really become.

• What is your proudest achievement over the past 6 months?

Over the past six months, I’ve helped five different businesses in the wedding industry reach their potential, which has been such a rewarding experience. I launched my own business in January, and it’s really taken off, something I’m incredibly proud of.

What makes it even more meaningful is that I’ve done all of this while recovering from a broken spine and awaiting surgery to correct it. My body has had to slow down, but my mind hasn’t, it’s constantly full of ideas and creativity. I’ve pushed myself harder than ever, stepping out of my comfort zone to grow both personally and professionally. Persevering through such a challenging time has made every milestone feel that bit more special, and it’s reminded me just how much we’re capable of when we stay focused on what we love.

• What are your aspirations for the future?

I’d love to take my business international and collaborate with incredible venues that offer truly extraordinary experiences. That said, my roots are firmly planted in Cornwall, it’s my home, and my commitment to the Cornish wedding industry remains steadfast.

At the same time, I love exploring new ideas and pushing boundaries. I’m currently designing two different photoshoots to showcase just how much potential Cornwall has to offer, and to highlight that our local venues can stand alongside the very best in the world. For me, it’s about blending growth, creativity, and loyalty, expanding horizons while celebrating where I come from.

• What/who motivates you?

My Nan has always been my biggest motivation. She escaped World War II Germany, spent time sleeping in a forest, taught herself English, and went on to travel the world with my grandfather, living in Africa and America and becoming the ultimate hostess wherever she went. No matter what she’d been through, she always had a feast on the table and a beautiful crockery set ready for any occasion. She built the life she wanted through pure determination and grace. Even though she’s no longer here, I still hear her voice every day. She reminds me to keep going, to work hard, and to create the life I dream of. I’ll never forget one show in Year 6 a story about the Blitz, my mum and dad couldn’t make it, but my Nan turned up, front row, cheering me on. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering support inspire me to push forward no matter what, and honestly, she’d probably very cross if I didn’t.

• What does being recognised as a 2025 30 u 30 winner mean to you?

Being named a 2025 30 under 30 winner was such a huge honour for me. I’ve had my share of knockbacks along the way, and this recognition really affirmed that I’m on the right path, doing something I love and doing it well. It’s helped the self doubt ease a little, not completely, because that’s normal, but every time I look at the award, it reminds me that hard work, determination, and passion do pay off. More than that, it’s made me hungry for what’s next. It’s not just a celebration of what I’ve achieved so far, but a motivation to keep pushing boundaries, exploring new ideas, and seeing how far I can go.
