• What advice would you give to other young people aspiring to make a significant impact in their field or start their own business?

Take the plunge and do it! If you don’t take the plunge, it will never happen, you learn from mistakes along the way and anything you get wrong you’ll learn from.

• What is your proudest achievement over the past 6 months?

Getting to number 1 on trip advisor!

Geting the all clear from Cancer after multiple surgeries and treatments over the last 3 years. Successfully opening a second Casa Tapa Newlyn, which is twice the size of Falmouth.

• What are your aspirations for the future?

I would like to get Newlyn as established as Falmouth, once that has taken off, the plan is for a third restaurant before turning 30.

• What/who motivates you?

My partner, we definitely push each other to do the best we can. I grew up in a pub, my dad and brother are also chefs, so I’ve always been around hospitality. Growing up around them, I always dreamt of having my own restaurant.

• What does being recognised as a 2025 30 u 30 winner mean to you?

It makes me feel like all the hard work is worth it, after working 80-100 hours per week to get this off the ground. It’s amazing to have the recognition.
