• What advice would you give to other young people aspiring to make a significant impact in their field or start their own business?

Put yourself out there! Cornwall has so many fantastic business networks, both general and industry specific, and they’re brilliant opportunities to grow your connections. I’ve found that so many people are genuinely open to collaborating or sharing their knowledge, you just need to ask. The worst answer you’ll get is a no, so go for it.

• What is your proudest achievement over the past 6 months?

My proudest achievement has been being part of the team behind Cornwall Slush’D. The event is all about creating opportunities for startups in the South West – which is huge, because there’s so much talent here in Cornwall that deserves to thrive locally rather than having to move to bigger cities to succeed. It feels really special to be part of the driving force growing our local startup ecosystem.

• What are your aspirations for the future?

I’ll be taking a step back from work for a little while as we’re expecting our first baby in December! Life is going to look very different, and my aspirations, while not specific right now, are to live a life that inspires my child so that they grow up knowing that anything is possible. Whether that’s through career, volunteering, or hobbies, I want to show them what’s possible when you follow what you care about.

• What/who motivates you?

I’m motivated by being part of a community and knowing that the work I’m doing contributes to something bigger, something that can have a lasting, positive impact on our local area.

• What does being recognised as a 2025 30 u 30 winner mean to you?

It’s an honour to be included alongside so many incredible young people doing amazing things in Cornwall. For me, it’s opened up new opportunities, helped me see the real impact that young people are having locally, and given me reassurance that the work I’m doing is heading in the right direction.
